Meet Our October 2026 Positive Change Recipients
Each time you shop with us, you have a chance to directly support local nonprofits by rounding up your purchases to the nearest dollar. It may only be a few cents or spare change, but your generosity makes a huge impact. Every dollar donated is passed on to the nonprofit recipient.
Rivers Co-op Markets are proud to support Positive Change recipients serving the neighborhoods and communities around our stores. Learn more about the local nonprofits we’re supporting this month.

St. Paul Stores Recipient: Sister’s Camelot
Increasing food access to free groceries and meals in the Twin Cities.
Sisters’ Camelot is a collectively run nonprofit founded in 1997 that focuses on food justice, waste reduction, sustainable living, community building, and youth education. They rescue organic food to share free groceries and free meals with the community.
Sisters’ Camelot serves our community through two primary programs.
- Food Distribution: Sisters’ Camelot distributes approximately 8,000 pounds per week (200 tons per year) of mostly organic groceries in the Twin Cities. They vary distribution locations to serve people where they are, particularly in food deserts. Their partners include low-income housing, senior housing, substance abuse programs, arts organizations, tribal/indigenous organizations, cultural centers, churches, and more.
- The Sisters’ Camelot Kitchen Bus: Sisters Camelot serves free healthy prepared food from a vintage bus converted to a licensed commercial kitchen. The kitchen bus program nourishes individuals and the community and imparts the value of cooking and eating together to the next generation. The bus participates in community events, has a continued presence at the George Floyd memorial, and moves around the cities serving unhoused people in encampments.
Funds from the Positive Change program will be used to support rescuing food and distributing it across the city to the residents who need it most.

Stillwater Store Recipient: Friends of the Stillwater Public Library
Supporting literacy, learning, and community enrichment.
The Friends of the Stillwater Public Library is a nonprofit organization formed in 1999 by community members who are passionate about supporting their library. Through annual memberships, volunteer efforts, and used book sales, the Friends raise funds to enhance library materials, programs, and services that benefit readers and learners of all ages.
Their mission is to value, support, and champion the Stillwater Public Library while encouraging lifelong learning.
Funds from the Positive Change program help provide children’s programs, author visits, technology upgrades, and other enhancements that support lifelong learning and community engagement at the Stillwater Public Library.
